Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a performer, writer producer, director, and writer. Her most famous character is Tara Maclay, in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's produced, directed and starred for her own movies Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Benson also appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children born to Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Her birthplace was Birmingham, Alabama on 8 January 1977. Danielle is her sister who is also an artist. Benson was a member of a Reform Jewish synagogue while growing in her teens. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father is also Jewish. Benson, who has been involved in numerous TV and movie shows after Buffy ended, has also appeared in The Killing Jar. Behind the camera she utilized her writing talents to work on her Ghosts of Albion series and produced projects such as The Killing Jar in 2010 and Drones.
